People from the LGBTQIA2S+ community are underrepresented in sports and athletics. We're constantly reminded by the world that we belong and that we don't need to hide, and then at other times we're killed, imprisoned or shamed for who we are. Our LGBTQIA2S+ apparel is for anyone who wants to be open about who they are and make a statement, regardless of it's out in public or in the safety of your own home.
It is not always safe to be visually or verbally "out". Founder of Strong Athletic, Nadia Kean, certainly chooses the time and place carefully based on the need for personal safety. Her goal is for the world to continue to become a safer place for all safety humans, especially those who are part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
Regardless of if you wear our gear when you're outside your home or if right now you choose to just wear it proudly in spaces in which you feel safe, we support you for who you are and what you believe in. We want you to play sports, we want you to embrace your strength and athleticism. We want you to know that you make sports and athletics better.
