About the Strong Athletic Medic T-Shirt 

Medics are so important for athletes on game day and especially at practice. We need them to check us out when we go down, let us know when we should chill out for a bit, and to take care of us when it looks like we'll be leaving in an ambulance. Medics are a special type of person. If everything goes okay, we don't need them, but when it's time to work they jump into action with their calming methods, paying attention to detail and missing nothing. This is the final shirt in the series of "Support Staff Shirts" that we've made at Strong Athletic. Just like officials, announcers and coaches, medics have a very specific job, and we couldn't play sport without them. This t-shirt came to us as a request in the derby community and we're so glad we got it and we're able to make this design! 

The design of this shirt is based on the original "Strong Athletic Woman" design created by Cristen Perks. This shirt is screen printed by hand in Austin, Texas by Amanda at the Artists Screen Printing Coop.

The cut and design of this shirt is intended to be "gender neutral". This shirt fits larger than shirts that are designed for cis females and fits normal for shirts that are designed for cis males. Please refer to the sizing chart, found under images, to ensure that you order the correct size. 

Founder of Strong Athletic, Nadia Kean, aka Smarty Pants, used to play roller derby for the WFTDA. During her career she had the inevitable trips to the medic station during games. She was always greeted with kindness and competence and is grateful that there were always super smart and efficient medics at all the derby games.
