Strong Athletic owner Nadia Kean is married to Carla, a registered nurse of 11 years who is currently working in the emergency department in Vancouver, BC. For years Carla has asked Nadia if she'd create a Strong Athletic Nurse shirt for Nurse's Week. Nadia thought it was a great idea and finally agreed in 2019 to make it happen for the spring/nurse's week of 2020. Coincidently the World Health Organization also declared 2020 the "Year of the Nurse and Midwife", good call WHO! The current global pandemic has made it more apparent than ever that nurses are integral to the health of a society.
