Supporting Female Athletes in Sports is Important to Strong Athletic

Our founder Nadia was googling something about women in sports the other day and what ever she put in made the following search topic popup: "what do you call a female athlete?" Nadia rolled her eyes, made a mental note, and moved on. When she told me about the question we both had a good laugh. What do you call a female athlete? You call her an athlete. You can also ask her what she would like to be called. We bring that up now because it brings to mind why we started Strong Athletic. All three words on our original design were important- Strong Athletic Woman, however the third word was especially important. Those three words ended up on a shirt because Nadia wanted people to stop referring to her as a girl, and to start calling her a woman, especially in the context of her being an athlete and playing sports. This baseball shirt is based on that original design. It has three words printed in bright yellow ink, set to sit square on your chest: Strong Athletic Woman. The statement is both simple and complicated. It says something straightforward and something that goes deep and speaks up. Every person who wears this shirt does so for their own personal reason. What is your reason? 

 

About the Shirt

This is a super soft three quarter sleeve t-shirt that is not fitted. The fabric is preshrunk and stretchy. The sleeves are an aqua meets light blue. The body of the shirt is white. The words Strong Athletic Woman are printed in yellow ink on the front along with the Strong Athletic logo. The Strong Athletic. logo is centered on the back of the shirt.
