Strong Athletic turns 10 in 2023! To celebrate the past decade we decided to release a few new designs- new spins on our original designs. The Strong Athletic Mom shirt was one of the first designs released by Strong Athletic, in the fall of 2015, and due to the positive feedback we get from moms, we continue to make it.

The reason we created this shirt for strong mums is simple, we wanted a shirt that was for people who are proud moms who also felt passionate about their own athleticism and strength. We know that not everybody uses the word "mom" to describe theirselves. Some people prefer the more non-binary word of parent, or use words that they have created for theirselves that are special to them and their family. In many parts of the world, the word mom is different, based on the language that is spoken. 

In addition to making this shirt because it is asked for often, we also make this shirt because of the simple fact that people who are moms in athletics are underrepresented and also oftentimes over looked as athletes within sports. Being a parent is no easy feat, and attempting to maintain the part of your lifestyle that you had before children is challenging. Many parents find that when it comes to simplifying their routine after they have kids, sports and physical fitness is one of the first things to go- replacing the former routine with raising young humans. For all the people that actually physically carry the child through pregnancy, sports and athletics can go away as a simple resort of all the stress placed on the body. Returning from your pre-pregnancy fitness and conditioning level takes time, your body needs to heal and recover. 

For all the parents in the world who enjoy being active, going out side, playing sports, and doing things that involve their body at whichever capacity you can do, we support you. For those moms who appreciate being active, but right now have to put that on the back burner and focus on your kids, we also support you. You are all doing good work. 

We hope that you like this new design that incorporates a circle. We wanted to utilize the circle because of its meaning as a symbol of all cyclic movement. We also wanted the circle to be similar to the one that we use for our logo- a circle that looks like it's been stamped on to something- which was artist Angel Ortega's idea when she created our Strong Athletic logo.
